Type: Ground floor rear and outrigger roof extension

Brief: Nicky and Declan wanted to make better use of their ground floor and give themselves and their dog Toby a bigger, open-plan living and dining space. They opted to extend the rear of the house by four metres to give themselves a new kitchen and entertaining space. They also added an outrigger roof extension to add a walk-in wardrobe to their master bedroom in the loft. We presented them with three concepts and as we often find, they chose to mix and match elements of all three, settling on a pitched roof with four skylights and large Crittal doors to maximise light in the extension. 

This project was achieved with part-permitted development, part-householder planning application.
